Dr Robert Targett

Dr Robert Targett graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. He began his career at the United Dental Hospital, where he served as Section Head of the Pedodontic Department while completing postgraduate study through the Dean’s List intake. After transitioning to private practice, Dr Targett quickly built his own clinic, which he managed for over three decades. Known for his early adoption of digital ceramic systems, he was one of the first dentists in Australia to use CEREC technology implementing his first system in 1999. Dr Targett has a strong clinical interest in endodontic and cosmetic treatment, including bonded and ceramic restorations. After 35 years of full-time dentistry, he now works with The Dental Centre on a fortnightly basis, where he continues his commitment to providing high-quality care to the Broken Hill community.
